You're never more than a short drive (or sail) from a bay, cove, beach or rainforest and some spectacular five star facilities to ensure you do it in style.
Beaches, coves and harbours
Most of the island’s mountainous interior is covered with lush tropical forest while the spectacular coastline offers an assortment of white sand beaches, secluded coves, impressive cliffs and some of the best natural harbours that the whole region has to offer.
Spectacular scenery
Best known are the island’s twin peaks of the Pitons – two dormant volcanoes which rise dramatically from the sea at around the midpoint of the Caribbean coast. But Mount Gimie at a shade over 3,000 feet (950metres) is taller.
Things to see and do
Your idea of heaven could be to simply pull up a sun lounger and… well, do nothing! But for those with a drop more energy you will find plenty to occupy you – golf, trekking, climbing, bird watching, horse riding, jet skiing, sailing… and lots more besides.
Here are just a few more examples:
Divers and snorkellers will love the warm, crystal clear, turquoise sea – with many rocky outcrops and reefs teeming with brightly coloured marine life and corals just a stone’s throw away from the beach.
Or how about exploring a rain forest and swimming in a luxuriously cool pool at the foot of a tropical waterfall?
Or book a full or half day game fishing charter, maybe? Blue Marlin, Sail Fish, Yellow Fin Tuna, Wahoo and Dorado are all present in the seas year-round.
You can have all the relaxation you want… or all the activity; it’s entirely your choice!
Increasing tourism and investment
With direct flights from the UK and US, St. Lucia is well served. In recent years, tourist numbers are up – quite significantly – and now, with a government objective of expanding tourism still further, budgets over the last few years have seen a massive increase in allocated funds… with more in the pipeline.
Due to increasing local and foreign investment, property prices have risen around 40% p.a. over the last couple of years. This trend is set to continue for at least another five years. With good building land in short supply and as the demand grows, both property values and rental income are set to continue increasing.
The World Bank has recently put St. Lucia in the top thirty locations to invest.
So, having had the briefest of tasters of this fantastic place, why not invest a few minutes now and find out a little more? We want you to be able to make an informed decision and so we’ve prepared plenty of material for you.
