Mayakoba is our stunning new private resort community in the heart of the Riviera Maya. The latest luxury resort by the Banyan Tree Resort Group, Mayakoba is designed with a Far East influence, with shades of Thailand and Malaysia reflected in its stunning architecture. The beach villas overlook the Caribbean Sea, and the remaining villas and townhouses are set amongst the lagoons, all having water frontage.

These amazing villas and townhouses all have private swimming pools and jacuzzis, sun terraces and decks, large alfresco dining terraces, landscaped courtyards, outside showers and bathtubs and amazing views.

Mayakoba is set in the El Camaleón Golf Club and is surrounded by a spectacular natural environment. The 18 hole signature golf course was designed by Greg Norman and offer some top class facilities.

The community features a 5 star luxury Banyan Tree Hotel, a choice of top class restaurants, several spas, a beach club, a main swimming pool, exclusive shops, several meeting rooms and salons for residents' use, and of course, full maid and room services.

Owners can enjoy full use of the Banyan Tree Mayakoba private beach club, as well as the amenities at all the other resorts comprising the Mayakoba community.

In keeping with Mayakoba’s peaceful, natural setting, water taxis will transport you around Mayakoba, using the canals, lagoons and waterways.

Greg Norman course borders the beach

As a resident of Mayakoba you’ll be able to enjoy the challenges of El Camaleón, the Greg Norman signature golf course. An 18-hole, 72-par course and all within a few steps of your luxury villa.

Situated just minutes away from the exclusive Playa del Carmen resort, El Camaleón is aptly named due to its diverse design and ever-changing landscape, meandering through tropical jungles, dense mangroves and oceanfront stretches of sand.

El Camaleón is the only course in the Riviera Maya featuring two holes just steps from the Caribbean Sea.

El Camaleón’s clubhouse is designed with luxury in mind, and offers all the usual facilities you'd expect including an Argentinean steakhouse overlooking the 18th hole and a fully stocked pro-shop with the latest fashion and equipment.

The practice grounds and driving range have their own facilities as well as being handy for the clubhouse.

Beach

Mayakoba is just a stone's throw from Playa del Carmen beach one of Riviera Maya's most stunning beaches.

You have full access to the resort’s Banyan Tree Mayakoba private beach club sitting at the edge of the Caribbean’s crystal clear waters, where you can relax, read a book, sunbathe, take the occasional cooling dip…

The beach club has its own restaurant and pool.

If you feel the need for something a little more energetic, there are plenty of water activities available right on the beach. Take your pick - jet skiing, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, water skiing and parasailing.

You can take a trip by boat to the nearby islands and resorts along the coast or book your place on any of the popular sport fishing and deep sea fishing trips.

If you've never tried it, have a go at SCUBA diving or snorkeling. A first class diving spot with an abundance of marine life and coral shelves is the famous island of Cozumel - don't miss it.

The Spa scene is big in Riviera Maya and you'll be pleased to know that Mayakoba is no exception. There's plenty of choice with several satellite spas overlooking the lagoons.
