Egypt - An Overview
It’s not that long ago that Egypt was considered “The Land of the Pharaohs - a truly exotic, mysterious and faraway land that was out of the reach of most people”.
Well it’s still that exotic and mysterious land but the growth in world travel has allowed Egypt to be discovered by the rest of the world and it’s certainly no longer out of the reach of most people.
The two main attractions for visitors are Egypt’s amazing antiquities and ancient sites and the glorious Red Sea coastal region. For over two decades now, visitors have been flocking to see the Pyramids, the Sphinx, the Burial Tombs, the ancient cities, Cairo museum…
And a lesser known attraction was the fantastic scuba diving that the Red Sea offered. For many years, divers were making their way by bus, from Cairo to the Red Sea and quietly indulging their hobby in the crystal clear waters.
A few hotels sprung up to cater for these sporty visitors; a few bars and restaurants opened to cater for “après” dive; boats and charter services appeared to ferry the visitors to the coral reefs; small local airports opened to ease the journey from Cairo…
Eventually, someone let the cat out of the bag and the rest of the world got to hear about this fabulous destination that is The Red Sea.
The Red Sea Riviera
With year round sunshine, beautiful sandy beaches, crystal-clear calm waters, just 4-5 hours flying time from Europe, it was only a matter of time before the Red Sea Riviera was put well and truly on the tourist map.
Now more than 4 million visitors come to the Red Sea Riviera every year and they love what they find! So much so, that many have already decided to buy their own piece of paradise there.
Egypt has become so popular that there are now some very astute and weighty developers investing billions of dollars into building superb tourist and residential resorts, to meet the growing demand. Hurghada - in particular - is expanding rapidly and there are some great-value developments for you to see.
But if you prefer to get in at the start of an emerging area, then Marsa Alam is the destination for you. Still very sleepy and laid back there are big plans for this lovely region which is further down the coast and completely unspoiled. An excellent opportunity for investors or those who want to snap up a holiday home bargain and have first choice.
A new hot spot - low prices… currently!
The Red Sea Riviera is certainly one of the world’s new property hot spots – in more ways than one!
The starting prices are refreshingly low so it’s more accessible than other destinations for many buyers and investors.
But like all emerging markets, the prices are steadily increasing and this always encourages more buyers, anxious to see their investment grow.
So, having had the briefest of tasters of this fantastic place, why not invest a few minutes now and find out a little more? We want you to be able to make an informed decision and so we’ve prepared plenty of material for you.
